Our mission at Wholeleaf Company is to provide products that allows us all to live a more sustainable lifestyle. We’re committed to saving our planet from climate change and believe that humans hold the responsibility to innovate and adapt in order to do so. We create products using naturally fallen palm leaves and press them into strong, compostable tableware. The process is entirely chemical free and sustainable and provides people with an opportunity to use durable and green tableware.

In additional to helping us in our sustainable mission, one of the most central ways we can all reduce our environmental footprint in by eating a more plant-based diet. Eating a vegan diet is the single biggest way an individual can reduce their environmental impact. The University of Oxford found that cutting meat and dairy products out of your diet could reduce an individual’s carbon footprint from food by up to 73%. Animal products require more resources and create higher levels of greenhouse gas emissions than their plant-based alternatives. Try cutting out one serving a meat a day or implement meatless Mondays and you can make a world of a difference. Making the switch benefits the Earth but eating more plant-based foods has health benefits as well including lowering your risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes, lowering cholesterol, improving gut health, and reducing inflammation. There are plenty of delicious recipes you can experiment with depending on whether you want to go for vegetarian or vegan options.
