How strong are Wholeleaf Plates?

What are the prints on my Wholeleaf Plates?

These are the natural marks and patterns found on the leaf the plates are made from.

Can I use Wholeleaf Plates in the oven and microwave?

Yes you can. You can use Wholeleaf Plates in a convection oven for 40 minutes up to 180 degrees and a microwave for 2 minutes. Surprised aren't you?

Can I put Wholeleaf Plates in the fridge or freezer?

Yes. Wholeleaf products are fine in the fridge or freezer, so please refrigerate and freeze at will.

How is your dishware made?


  1. The fallen palm leaves are collected and washed in locally sourced spring water.
  2. They are placed in a heat press and stamped into shape.
  3. They are cut into the finished bowl, plate or platter.

Do I need to wash the Plates before use?

No. They have been sterilised and cleaned so please use them straight out of the packet.

Do Wholeleaf Plates hold liquid?

Yes, remarkably well in fact. They will hold water, soup, curry or baba ganoush with an ease and comfort that other types of disposables can only dream of. And you won't get that sogginess you might have experienced with other disposables.

Can I reuse my plates and bowls?

While they are designed to be single use, the answer is yes! A quick wipe down and the plates are as good as new.

How do your products react to heat?

They insulate against heat very well. You can hold your bowl of soup in your hand, without cooking your hand!

Do Wholeleaf products add any taste to food?

Not at all. Wholeleaf products are 100% natural and do not add any taste to your food.
